Homes built the way they used to be promised.

Cornerstone Private Builders takes on a small number of custom homes each year — built with the materials, methods, and attention that make a house worth keeping for generations.

Our Approach

Few homes. Full attention.

We deliberately limit our work to two or three homes per year. Every project gets a principal on site, direct trade relationships, and decisions documented before the walls close — not discovered after they do.

Owner-level oversight

A principal of the firm manages your project directly under a construction management model — transparent budgets, competitive trade bids, and no hidden markups buried in a lump sum.

Built to tighter tolerances

Engineered framing where precision matters, structural blocking where walls meet, and layout standards that make tile, cabinetry, and millwork land perfectly — details spec builders skip.

Documented before drywall

Every wall is photographed before it closes. Blocking, wiring, and plumbing locations are recorded permanently, so your home comes with a record no other builder hands over.

Heirloom construction

Closed-cell insulation, radiant heat with room-by-room control, and waterproofing systems chosen for the next fifty years — not the next open house.

Single-point accountability

One trade owns each critical system, end to end. When the roofer owns every waterproofing layer, there is never a gap between responsibilities.

North Shore focus

We build exclusively in the villages we know — their boards, their inspectors, their approval processes, and their standards.
